Developments on Ease of Doing Business Environment in Nigeria

In its sustained quest to create a robust business environment and ease of doing business in Nigeria, the federal government has set up the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC). PEBEC is co-ordinating government's spirited attempts at attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and boosting Nigeria's economy.

Issuance of Business and Tourist Visas within Forty-Eight (48) Hours

in line with the ease of doing business policy, mission has commenced the issuance of business and tourist visas within a maximum timeline of forty eight (48) hours, provided the application meets  all the set requirements.

Visa on Arrival

Visa on Arrival (VOA) may be issued to foreign nationals, especially business travellers, who may not be able to obtain a consular business visa due to exigencies of urgent business travel.

To be eligible for visa on arrival, a foreign national must have obtained pre- approval for the trip from the Controller General of Immigration (CGI) of Nigeria in-country, before boarding the aircraft at the point of initial departure.
