The Nigeria High Commission, Ottawa, wishes to inform applicants for the capture exercise that passports for applicants from July -August 16th are ready and mailed out. If you came in on any of the dates in July-August 16th, you might wish to start tracking the movement of your document.
For those who came in from August 17th till date, please, bear with us. We will keep the production going as booklets arrive from Abuja and keep you informed.

I called the High Commission and waited for so long until a young lady picked up the phone. A very courteous and patient lady, she did not take my complaints personally and did not for once respond negatively. I still don’t know why any nation will ask third parties and private businesses to collect information from their citizens and issue passport or national identification number. It has been next to impossible for Nigeria to get its citizens’ data from the Asian company handing Nigerian passport process and the next thing Abuja did was to use third parties to issue national identification numbers? Thanks to the wonderful young lady who spoke with me this morning. The Lord will bless her.

Good morning sir/ ma, Please I am yet to receive my Nigerian passport. The embassy came for the passport exercise in Calgary 19th of June, 2021. Please, My husband received his passport 4 weeks ago. I called the embassy twice and a lady picked it up. She had said she would check out why I had not gotten my Pastor in 3 month but was cut off. Good day, I came for my passport renewal on July 23, 2021. However, Friday, Oct 1, I got a call from Nigeria high commission asking about my old passport and I informed the caller that I submitted this after capturing. I was asked to call last week to get an update. I have tried calling but got no response. I have tried multiple times but no answer. I tried tracking as well no update I have sent emails to both generalinquiries@nigeriahcottawa.ca or passportinquiries@nigeriahcottawa.ca Please kindly provide me with an update with respect to my old and new passports.

Come in with your money order; if booklets are not available, you can go home with them. I do not want to make a promise. The booklets available now are being used for the production of passports for applicants who have been waiting. I do not know when you want to come for capture.

Good day, I came in with my sister on the 11th of August 2021 for our passport renewal. However, i couldn't do the fingerprint scan because of the burns on my right hand and was given an email to send a medical report which showed that i had burns. I did that on the 12th of August and i called to confirm. My sister has received her passport but I'm still yet to receive mine. The last time i called the lady who spoke said something about an approval from Abuja. I'd really appreciate it if you could look into it for me, thank you.

You have to go to Abuja to do that. We only do name change via marriage or divorce in Ottawa.
