The Nigeria High Commission, Ottawa, wishes to inform applicants for the capture exercise that passports for applicants from August 17th -August 22nd are ready and mailed out. If you came in on any of the dates mentioned, you may wish to start tracking the movement of your document. We will keep the production going as booklets arrive from Abuja and keep you informed.

Thanks for the information. I think this idea of posting regular updates regarding passport processing is highly commendable. Please keep it up.

Hello. My passport renewal appointment is for October 18th and I got notice today it was canceled. Not by myself. I booked this a few months ago. Please advise.

Yes, It was in anticipation of a Public holiday in Nigeria, previously fixed for October 18 but now October 19. If you still want to come in on October 18, it is ok. However, we have decided to work on the 18th and 19th.

What is the turnaround time for a new passport renewal application? Do you have a location in Toronto for the renewal process?

    1. Abu SusanSays

We do not have a location in Toronto. It takes 4-6weeks to renew. But with the challenges with availability of passport booklets, it takes a bit longer.

Hello, Please I am a family of 5 and all of us need passport renewal. Can I get one big self-address envelope or do I need to get one per family member? Also, on the $50 money order, can I combine it to be $250 or do I need to get a separate money order for each member also? Thanks

You can get one big envelope for all of you and one money order for all of you too.
