Hi Abu Susan,
Happy new year, I hope you had a safe and comfortable holiday season!
I have four questions:
1. I'm helping my mom reinstate her Nigerian passport; it expired in 2001. Do I fill out the "fresh" or "renew" application? She still has her expired passport.
2. I've submitted my application as a first-time applicant (Nigerian-born but Canadian-raised); as I reviewed the documents needed, I did not see the guarantor form as a mandatory document. Is this document still required?
3. Is the Commission now accepting the $200 money order for same-day passport pickup?
4. Is the new Ontario COVID-19 omicron measures impacting in-person appointments this January?
I appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks!
Happy New Year, Patricia,
I had a blessed holiday season. Thank you for asking.
1. Fill for renewal
2. If you are an adult. No need for it.
3. Same day service is not available.
4. It will. We will post an update on the website soon.
Hi Abu Susan, As per your response to Patricia on the impact to the in-person appointments this Jan. Can me and my wife still come to Ottawa for our appointment this Jan. 7?
Hello Susan,
Happy New Year.
I have an appointment for the the renewal of my passport and my daughter's as well as a new passport for my son (2 years old) on the 7th January 2021 and I have the a few questions before coming.
I was only able to book 1 slot for the appointment as I was unable to book a different slot for my children ( due to the same email address), is this ok?
Secondly, I saw that the adminstrative fee is $50 ( money order ) for fresh and renewal, meaning I need to come along with a $150 money order for the 3 applicants?
Looking forward to your response, thank you
Hello Abu Susan. Following the post you wrote about the new COVID-19 measures, how will this affect the in-person appointments ? Does this affect the number of people allowed at the chancery, or are all the appointments made in the month of January cancelled. Please advise, as I have my e-passport renewal on January 6, 2022. Thank you.
Hello Abu Susan, I would please like to know how the new COVID-19 measures will affect the in-person appointments? Does this affect the number of people allowed into the chancery, or does it result to the cancellation of appointments made in the month of January 2022. Thank you.
