Hello Susan, I was at the commission house on February 15th for the renewal of my passport. How soon will the batches for this period be dispersed? I am asking this because I am getting married in March and with the current batches that got dispersed today, I am worried that my batch might be delayed. Is there any other way to get the passport or any other travelling document to aid my passage to the country?

Hello, I scheduled an appointment on the 16th of March, but I suddenly received an email yesterday 7th of March that the appointment has been cancelled. No further reasons were given. Upon checking the earliest appointment available now is the 5th of April, which I booked. However I need an earlier appointment so that my student's permit extension can start earlier. Please help out. Thank you.

Hey Susan. I wanted to ask a question. I have my appointment for March for renewal and change of name due to marriage. But my partner’s passport has expired so his BioData page is not valid and it would take about 2months before he can get a new passport in Nigeria and mine is expiring soon and I need to travel, that’s why I’m renewing from Canada. So my question is, please can any other document be used as a form of identification for my partner like Driver’s Licence or NIN slip? Also just for assurance, can I still included the expired BioData page? Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

The expired biodata will do. All we need is his information. I can see that you need to travel. For your information, change of name takes time because the approval comes from Abuja, not Ottawa. So it may take two or three months to get your passport because of the change of name.

Hi Susan, I would like to clarify. We booked a passport renewal appointment through the website and it let us select up to 2:30 pm, so we selected 2:10 pm. However, on the website is also says the passport renewal hours are 9:30 to 12:30. Should we make sure to show up before 12:30, even though our appointment time is 2:10 pm? We are also hoping to pay for the same-day passport option, are there usually lots of booklets available? Thanks for your time.

Hi Susan, I came with my family to renew our passports on January 20. Mine is for name change due to marriage and I understand that may take some time. However, I am wondering if passports for the rest of my family can be sent as my husband needs to travel in less than two weeks. Hi, susan hope your doing well and thank you for getting back to everyone in a timely manner. I came in for my renewal appointment on the 4th of March with my old passport which expires in May but i have a flight already booked for the 30th of March 2022 and it will be very difficult for me to change it. I wanted to pay for same day service but there was no booklets at the time. Is there anyway I can expedite this process or pay the $200 in order to get my new passport in time? Hello Susan. My biometrics was taken by you on the 23rd of February, 2022 but I had to return to Victoria with my old passport. This was delivered by Canada Post to the high commission on the 3rd of March. At which point does the period start counting from? From the date of my biometrics? A response would be appreciated.

Hello Banke, It is no longer about when it will start counting. When the booklets come in, we will start from where we stopped last time accordingly. Check the last news update about Passport processing to see where we stopped. We will continue in that order to attend to those who came first. And I hope you added a note when you mailed back your passport stating your date of capture so they can trace your file?

hello. i had my appointment on the 3rd of february but i had to take my passport back because I had to use to travel to my city i did drop every other document i came with and envelope.
