I normally do not like to post in the public domain but I have to do it; having explored private means to no avail - I called the NHC Ottawa severally with no answer. I participated in the passport intervention in Halifax on the 26th of February, 2022. We were told not to make contact until after 6 weeks. I started making contacts after 10 weeks, which I believe is a lot of additional time. As it is now, I urgently need my renewed passport as I needed to renew my immigration documents in Canada with same expiry date as my passport's. Further more, I have two academic conferences to attend by the end of June and early July for which I need my passport - I registered for these conferences before the passport intervention. I also have an examination coming up for which I need my passport as the only means of identification. I had to reschedule this exam with a fee from April 23, 2022 to a new date in July, with the hope that I would have received my renewed passport. I would not be given the opportunity to further reschedule the exam for a second time if I cannot make the new date. For completeness, I must state that I also registered for this exam before the passport intervention. I know that the NHC Ottawa office is working really hard to ensure that Nigerians in Canada are better served, I will be really grateful if it can come through for me this time. Thank you.

Hey, I came for renewal on the 4th of April and was told I would get my passport back in 4-6 weeks and am yet to receive it. I have an urgent travel for a medical procedure on the 8th of June and i need my passport to travel. Please will I be able to receive it before then as my procedure is a life or death situation and I really can’t miss it

Please check our website to see the timeline for renewal. It says 10 weeks because of the challenge with booklets. If you have an urgent medical case, send the evidence to general inquiries with a cover note stating your date of capture to see if we can get you on the priority list. You can also send it to us via DM on Instagram.

Hi Susan, I came to the embassy for passport renewal capturing on the 8th of March, 2022. My passport expired on the 26th April. I applied for work permit extension with the softcopy of my old passport with explanation. I have been given five working days to fax the bio data page of my new passport or else my application will be rejected. When can I get my new passport? (date of capture: 8th of March 2022)

Hey, I came in on the 4th of April to get a renewal of my passport. I need to have an emergency medical procedure done early next month and by the looks of it, getting my new passport will take a while. I’ll like to get my old passport back as it will still be valid for travel as it is very URGENT.
