I have already paid for the 5 years validity and wish to change it to 10 years validity. Can I switch from the 5 years to the 10 years validity and pay for the excess amount or I have to cancel the 5 years and start the 10 years validity afresh?

Unfortunately you can not upgrade it. and you cannot change it if you have already done your biometrics for the 5year passport. However, if you just paid and still in the process of applying, then you can cancel, ask innovate 1pay for a refund and wait until we roll out the 10year passport. Then you can apply. The choice is yours to make.

Hello, Please how do one book multiple biometric passport renewal appointments for a family of 3. It appears one can only book once at a time and the portal does not allow entering the same email address for the same family including minors who obviously will have to use the parent's email address. Kindly advise.

Thank you! But the instruction provided on the website says: FOR FAMILY SCHEDULING PLEASE INDICATE ALL FAMILY MEMBERS THAT REQUIRE RENEWAL AS YOU WILL NOT BE RECOGNIZED AS ONE UNIT. EACH MEMBER OF THE FAMILY WILL NEED TO BE GIVEN AN APPOINTMENT.

Go on our website and click on the menu, look at the drop down captions and click on Citizen Services, then select Citizen Services - E-Passport. Read carefully and apply under fresh passport, not renewal. Then pick a date on the homepage from the red bar "Schedule Appointment" to come to Ottawa for your biometric exercise.
