Hi, firstly, is the government facing out the regular 5 year passport that there is this so called enhanced passport, secondly, based on what I read on your website, I think it’s a choice , and you will only need the NIN no if you want to apply for the 10 year passport, and finally there are even lots of Nigerians I v spoken to that are not even aware of the enhanced passport, thanks for your response.

I don't even understand what they meant by "enhanced", I applied to renew for my passport since maybe but had to rescheduled the appointment then I didn't see anything like "enhanced". I've made the payment for my renewal, I'm just curious if this enhanced package won't affect what I originally applied for. All I need is an international passport for travelling. Thanks and kudos.

Enhanced passport is the new type of passport which allows you to apply for a ten year validity passport. Always try to read the news updates for latest information. Most of the answers to all the questions 50% of applicants ask here are on the website if only you care to read. We longer operate the old system of production. And you need your NIN to get the new passport.

Please how can I pay for an enhanced passport for my son? My own Passport is still valid so I am currently applying for renewal for only my son. But it appears that we can only pay for family members if the card owner is also an applicant. How do I overcome this hurdle? It’s very urgent please

All data were correctly filled on Nigeria Ottawa website whenever I proceed to payment, the system respond with(your request cannot be processed at this time,please try again later). Hello, The instruction steps listed above seem out of date! When you visit the page, there is no option to select 'location' as stated in Step 2. Also, can you please confirm if Canadian residents are now allowed to apply for the 10yr validity passport now? The last few times I called I was informed only 5yrs is available in Canada. Can you please clarify and update this guide?
