I have my application submitted already, only looking to pick appointment date but all effort to book has been abortive as the page keep showing error 404 instead of loading the page. Hi Susan, I booked an appointment on the booking calendar on the embassy website before it was deactivated and I have made all the flight arrangements to be at the embassy on this date. Is the date still valid or will I be turned back when I show up at the embassy with the appointment letter on this date?

The date is still valid if you applied for renewal on the old system. However, if you applied for renewal for the enhanced passport with your NIN, you have to pick a date on the Immigration website even if it is not the same as the date you have. This is because you need to get on the immigration portal to enable the officers in Ottawa to capture you. So pick the date and still come on your original date. So you will show up here with two letters.

I have been tracking my passport return, but no information on my Canada post tracking number yet. Dear Team, Please kindly check documents that have been sent out to find out if my passport or my Envelope is still in process or has been sent out. I came 31 Dec. 2022. On the web site it is said 2 batches have been sent out. I was tracking mine till Canada post post said delivered, but I don't have it. I was requested to confirm that it has been sent. I applied for my passport renewal, paid the $142 application fees, have the print out and also the appointment date in April 2023. I have a family emergency that I have to attend to in Nigeria prior to my appointment. My dilemma now is A) can I travel to Nigeria on my current expired passport without been turned away by the Airlines. B) Which airline currently accepts passengers with expired passport even though the Immigration minister have given directives to the effect that Nigerians with expired passport are allowed back into the country. C) Are foreign airlines complying with the Ministers directive? Thank you

If you applied for the enhanced passport, come to the Mission with your letter of appointment. And explain to the Immigration officer so they can capture you. You can also travel with your expired passport, contact your airline first and then remember that you cannot return if you do not have a Canadian passport or a valid Nigerian passport.

Dear Nigeria High Commission, my wife by name Aguguo Joy was in the High Commission head office in Ottawa, Canada for her capturing and processing of her Name change on the 15th Of November, 2022 and up till now be it 16th of March 2023, she have not gotten her passport and on the tracking site it's stated "Parcel not registered". I just saw that it's stated that those that applied, their passport have been mailed by January 2023 and my wife's own is not registered on the tracking site nor mail to her and she have a trip coming up on April. What is the way forward, thanks!

Dear Abu Susan I hope this message finds you well. I'd once lodged this comment about a couple of days ago, but no response has been posted. I would like you to advise on the status of application of passport renewal on behalf of my son. We applied at Ottawa on 16TH FEB. 2023. On March 8 or thereabout, we apparently saw an update on your website (https://nigeriahcottawa.ca/2023/03/08/update-from-the-passport-unit-42/) to start tracking the renewed passport from March 10 for those that enrolled after Feb 12. 2023, which literarily covered our date of application. We have been checking and tracking ever since but to no avail. Worse still, the purported page is even no longer there. Please, how can we get the true status of the application. Hi I'm based in the UK and desperate to find an answer. I hope to travel to Nigeria from the UK this April, but my passport is expired. Will I be granted access to Nigeria for a 12 day stay if I can show proof at immigration of having begun the process for renewal? I have made payment and booked an appointment at the High Commission for May 2023. I have a valid British passport so re-entry will not be an issue.
