Hello, Thank you for the updates. Please I have an enquiry. I visited the High Commission on the 19th of December 2022 to renew my passport and till now there has been no update on it. I have not been able to track it as well. I have called severally with no one picking up and no response on IG either. I sent an email and I was asked if I left my old passport which I did but no other communication since then. I would really appreciate any feedback I can get on this because I have noticed that there seems to have been a jump-over for the dates around when I came for my renewal. Thank you in anticipation.

Recognition is meant to be given when due. I had come to the embassy to have my passport renewed on March 30, 2023. I just got it back in the mail today. Smooth process from start to finish, amazing staff at the high commission as well.

Hello, Please advise. My NIN and expired passport both have my maiden name. I have applied for a new passport in my marital name, can I go ahead to book my appointment? I read on the website that the immigration officers are able to make the needed changes if changes to NIN is as a result of marriage. Thanks.

Again, I applied SINCE JANUARY 27TH! and I have not received my passport. Calls aren't answered, emails are rarely responded to. I need to travel soon and you guys have left me stranded. It's been almost 3 months! I had no NIN issues, everything went very smoothly. Please I need answers!

Hello, I had posted a comment earlier regarding the passport renewal appointment but I cant seems to find it as to know if there any reply to it. I had applied for my passport renewal and booked for December 13th which is too far and was the earliest date of the appointment because there was nothing available for this month of July till November, my passport expires next year January and I want to come to Ottawa to renew my passport as soon as possible. I sent an email to generalinquries regarding this twice but no reply, and I called the phone number to Nigeria High Commission but no answer and I really want to come right away this month July to renew my passport with my document. Can I just come in right away asap in person to renew my passport.

Ask you question and stop the sarcasm. You have no idea what goes on behind the scene with the introduction of the NIN and centralization of the process. Every staff is busy trying their best to deal with the current situation.

For emergency travel certificates, we are advised of "Non-refundable fee of hundred dollars ($100)and administrative fees of CAD$50 in money order payable to the Nigeria High Commission Ottawa". My question is this: can I submit one money order of $150 or do you require two in the separate amounts? Thank you.
