H.E. ASEKUN ATTENDS CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE FOR MRA LETICIA LANIYONU IN OTTAWA.

The High Commissioner of Nigeria to Canada, H.E. Adeyinka Asekun, and his wife, Olawunmi, attended the celebration of life service for the late Chief Mrs Leticia Ayodele Laniyonu NEE Ricketts, who died at age 100 (1923-2023) and laid to rest in Ibadan Oyo State Nigeria, on Friday 11th 2023.
At the celebration in Ottawa, where Mama Laniyonu contributed immensely to community service, H.E. Asekun extolled her contributions to the Nigerian & African Canadian communities, stressing that as a peacemaker, she left remarkable footprints for succeeding generations.
The event was organized by a committee of Friends, John Adeyefa, President, African Canadian Association of Ottawa, Mrs Modupe Williams and Mrs Ines Beugre.
