Nigerians in Calgary, friends, Associates, and members of the Alberta legislature celebrated the Nigerian Canadian Association of Calgary’s 30th anniversary with the theme Building Bridges: 30 years of Unity and Collaboration in grand style. Indeed, celebrating the cordial relationship between the association’s members, the Alberta government, and the Nigeria High Commission in Canada was worth the rich cultural ambiance and the attention given to the organization of the anniversary and Independence gala by the NCAC. @joyosiagwuwu was on location to document the sights and sounds.

Hello Susan, Please I want to find out about the status of my son's passport application. I came to Ottawa for the passport data capturing on Sep 18,2023 and it already past five weeks now. Everything went well doing the data capturing. There was no problem with the NIN, we submitted a self-addressed returned envelope and since it was a new passport application, we did not have any old passport to submit. NO information is showing on Canada post tracking and the tracking through the immigration website is providing no real update. The details of my sons are as follows: Application No: 19287340 Reference No: 2303112689 Application No: 19287339 Reference No: 8350139042 I sent a mail to generalinquiries@nigeriahcottawa.ca and there is no response. I also called 1-613-236-0521-3 and there was no response. Please can you let me know about the status of their application and when we would get the passport. We need the passport so much as we need to travel to Nigeria urgently. Thank you, Peter

Dear Nigerian High Commission in Ottawa, I trust this message finds you in good health. I am writing to respectfully inquire about the status of my passport renewal application. I have been tracking the progress of my application via the track.immigration.gov.ng, and I noticed that it currently reads "Application Pending Enrollment", but it has now been over four weeks since I underwent the biometric data capture. I provided a valid NIN that matches the name on my passport. I also dropped my old passport in a self addressed express envelope. Additionally, I observed that the Canada Post tracking number issued for the delivery of my renewed passport does not yet indicate that the document has been dispatched. I was told the process takes 2-4 weeks and I’m currently in urgent need of my new passport because of my student status about to expire.

I came to Ottawa to renew my passport on September 12th but my passports (both old and new) have not been mailed to me yet. I tried tracking it but CanadaPost says it has not received it. Please help me with any information you have, It has been over 2 months. Thank you.

What is the status of your NIN, perhaps it is not accurate. Please, if you have not received your passport, send an email to generalinquiries@nigeriahcottawa.ca
