Requirements for Legalization of Documents
REQUIREMENTS FOR LEGALIZATION OF DOCUMENTS
1. LEGALIZATION OF CERTIFICATE OF FREE SALES
(i) Application (on your company’s letter head) stating your request to the Nigeria High Commission and listing the products to be exported;
(ii) Authentication Certificated of Free Sales by Health Canada and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Canada:
(iii) A processing fee of CAD$100.00 in money order only (not cash) per document and non- refundable Administrative fee of CAD$ 50 payable to Nigeria High Commission Ottawa.
2. AUTHENTICATION OF NIGERIAN DOCUMENTS
(I) Nigeria issued document such as Birth Certificates, Academic Certificates etc. must be confirmed and authenticated by the Ministry of Education in Nigeria before it could be legalized by Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa.
a.) A processing fee of CAD$50.00 per document in money order only (not cash) and a non- refundable administrative fee of CAD $ 50.00 in money order only, all payable to Nigeria High Commission Ottawa.
3. AUTHENTICATION OF POLICE CHARACTER
Applicants are advised to first send the Police Character Certificate obtained from the Nigerian Police Force C.I.D Alagbon, Ikoyi, Lagos to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abuja for verification before forwarding it to Nigeria High Commission, Ottawa.
Non –refundable fee of CAD$50.00 plus Administrative fee of CAD$50.00 in money order only payable to Nigeria High Commission, Ottawa;
Photocopy of data pay of passport.

(3) Current two passport size photographs (32 MM X 45MM)
