The Nigerian Immigration Service has appointed Newworks Solutions Ltd. to provide non-judgmental services and operate the Biometric Visa Application Centre (VAC) in Ottawa, which will be managed by Online Integrated Solutions Ltd. (OIS Services) on behalf of Newworks Solutions Ltd.
Henceforth, all applicants who wish to apply for a Nigerian Visa are requested to submit their applications to the OIS Services Biometric Visa Application Centre in Ottawa, either by mail or in person (by appointment). The Centre shall facilitate Visa application verification, biometrics, and data capturing.

⚠️ With effect from September 2025, the Nigeria High Commission will no longer accept visa applications from any other agency for processing. All applicants will be redirected to the OIS Services VAC.
Exemptions
are not required to be physically present at the Visa Centre. Applicable documents may instead be mailed to the Centre for processing.

Expatriates employed by individuals, corporate bodies, or governments (i.e. to take up employment in Nigeria.
This type of visa is issued to prospective business visitors coming to Nigeria for the sole purpose of transacting short business.
Tourism is a short visit for vacation, for visiting family and friends, or for medical treatment.
Transit Visa is available to citizens of all countries except ECOWAS Nationals who do not require visa to visit Nigeria.
Journalist visa is issued to professional journalists and photographers for up to three months stay in Nigeria.
